The largest of the three models, the VentSaver HD is recommended for extreme snow conditions. The VentSaver HD Series is made from non-corrosive, powder-coated aluminum and 3/16 stainless-steel aircraft cable. Also provided are stainless steel nuts, bolts, and heavy-duty 1 1/2" lag screws. The HD Series will fit up to 12/12 pitch and an infinite array of sizes from 1" to 14" around. The massive fin has a 14" standing profile that is designed to protect taller roof stacks, chimneys, gas vents, and masts. The beauty of the HD Series is the variety of applications it will fit as well as the ease of installation.
Additional Information:
There is a minimum of 14" of flat area required between the major ribs, centered behind the pipe, to use the snow diverter wing kit. Wing kit spacers are provided to straddle minor ribs, if present in the panel. The installation of the wing kit is optional and not required unless using the C-Kit Height Extender.
The SD (Screw Down) VentSaver Plate Kit allows the included wing kit and the optional C-Kit Height Extenderto be used on just about any screw-down metal roof, regardless of rib configuration, as long as there is adequate substrate to fasten into below the panel. The VentSaver HD can also be used on most standing seam roofs, without panel penetrations, by using the optional SS (Standing Seam) VentSaver Plate Kit. Please check the Panel Matrix to make sure the standing seam roof clamps will fit your panel. Please note that the total height of the fin, when mounted on the VentSaver Plate Kit, is approximately 14"-16". The total height of the HD-C fin, with the C-Kit Height Extendermounted on the VentSaver Plate Kit, is approximately 25" to 27". The exact height will vary depending on the roof pitch.
