The RCT version is our most universal fit, seam-mounted snow guard, and it works on most standing seams up to 1 inch wide. The interior clamp dimensions are 1" wide by 1.375" high. Our seam-mounted snow guards offer a patented, exclusive swivel bracket that allows for angle adjustments in hips and converging valleys. The RoofClamp RC and RCT mounting portions of the SnoCleat have been shear-tested and tensile-tested by a nationally known testing lab.
Since most individual standing seam-mounted snow guards have no release feature, panel damage may occur in the event of a sudden snow slide. "Buyer Beware". This is a concerning problem associated with many other brands of seam-mounted snow guards. The problem may be mitigated by decreasing the torque setting on our patented, exclusive swivel bracket. Snow guards should never be mounted on partial roof sections. The most effective method of retaining snow and ice on a metal roof is to follow the suggested manufacturer's spacing guidelines before installing this snow guard system.
